The Fruits of Our Labors

Last winter, Maggie and I wrote a song that later became kind of a minor hit for her band, so here is a proper version of it, from their set of recordings done at the Mouth House in Denver earlier this year.

This is a song that I wrote just before going home for Christmas; it's about those particular moments when it is wintertime in Portland, Oregon, and we all put on our ill-fitting black knit hats and go out to the parking lot to smoke after a Mean Jeans show. This is Maggie's version, with the original verses altered somewhat; I hope to put out my own version of it someday.

Other recordings by A Sense of Porpoise available here;
"Moustache" is another great song, and so is "Make Out Bandits."
